The Thirst Release:
Erin & The Wildfire
Overview
Work on Erin & The Wildfire’s album Thirst began with a roundtable conversation with the band where we explored the record’s emotional landscape, including longing and renewal. From that discussion, we developed a visual approach that connected the full release while still allowing each single to stand on its own as an individual piece of artwork. A consistent visual language centered on red and gold as primary colors, along with a hand-drawn type style, became the thread that tied everything together across the singles, album rollout, and supporting materials.
This approach carried through every touchpoint, from single artwork and video visuals to merchandise and final album packaging. Each release was designed to feel distinct while clearly part of a larger whole. The Little Me music video was a standout in this process. I developed the original concept, helped secure the location and props, and advised on costuming. Originally planned with a live audience, the shoot took place during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, which required a last-minute pivot. We replaced the audience with a balloon installation, which maintained the sense of presence while adding a striking visual element that echoed the palette used throughout the release.
